Saturday, April 9th - “What the hell have you done now?”

Sunday, April 10th - “You need to learn how to knock.”

Monday, April 11th - “What can I say? You’re special.”

Tuesday, April 12th - “I would assume those would be one of the times you would want me to lie?”

I'm going to split these up by daily drabble, after the Dean X Reader challenge page, its much easier.

You looked to Dean for direction as you approached the run down building. Adjusting the weight of the gun in your hand as you waited for direction.

“Y/N stays with me.” Castiel growled, his hand closing around your arm before Dean could split you up. Like you knew he was going to, he always did. Dean looked to you, waiting for the brief nod to confirm you were fine with the change.

“Fine, Sammy and I will take the main entrance. You two take the fire exit.” You nodded, shaking your arm out of Castiel’s and walking towards where you knew the fire exit was. You and Sam had gone over the buildings plans before you’d even left the bunker. Sam wasn’t willing to risk anything with the mark going out of control. Even for a simple ghost hunt, and neither were you.

“Let me.” Castiel reached around you, completely destroying the door that logically never should have opened for you.

“Cas! I thought you were burning out!” You hissed, looking to the angel. Castiel’s eyes flashed Neon blue, his posture pulling back slightly. You flinched backwards slightly, your grip subconsciously tightening on the gun in your hand.

“I am fine Y/N.” You nodded, walking through the door. Battling the feeling of unease that settled in your stomach. This was Castiel. The angel that saved Dean and went against heaven for humanity. There was no reason for you to doubt him.

Castiel’s footprints were as quiet as yours as you crept through the building, looking for any sign of the ghost that was supposedly haunting and murdering people who ventured into the abandoned building.

“Y/N.” Castiel hissed, you turned to see him waving towards a door you hadn’t noticed. Your mind flickered back to the building’s floor plans. There shouldn’t be a room there, it peeked your curiosity.

“Good spotting.” You whispered, hand running over the wood before closing over the handle. You glanced back at Castiel, watching his angel blade slide into his hand before he nodded at you.

The handle twisted easily beneath your hand, pushing it forward, you waited for your eyes to adjust to the piercing darkness. Your hand leaving the door in favour of the torch in your back pocket.

The thin beam of light barely broke through the suffocating darkness, but still you stepped into the room. Hearing Castiel move into the room after you, his trenchcoat rubbing past the back of your denim clad legs.

You jumped a foot in the air when the door slammed closed behind you. Your torch light flicking. You spun around, looking at Castiel.

“Please tell me that's you doing that?” Castiel shakes his head, eyes scanning the room above your head. You turned when his eyes narrowed, torch raised in the direction Castiel was glaring. There was nothing there when you looked, but you heard Castiel step closer to you.

You regretted ignoring your gut instincts when a cool metal blade was pressed to your neck.

“You really thought I was a ghost? How pathetic.” Castiel’s gravelly voice whispered in your ear. His arm wrapping around your waist.

“I was just going to kill you, then go after those handsome boys you hunt with, but then I saw how much the angel likes you. The conflicted confusing mess of emotions his celestial frame can’t deal with.” Your grip tightened on the gun in your hand, wondering if you could blind the imposter and escape.

“So now I get to have some fun. Then maybe I’ll wear your pretty face to kill your friends. Lure them here one by one.” You were slowly shuffled forward, lights flickering on to reveal a single chair set up in the room. Castiel's hand closed over yours, easing the gun from your whiteknuckled grip as easily as if you’d given it to him. The torch following suit not much longer, throwing them clear across the room to clatter in the corner.

“Oh but I so enjoy having your angel’s powers.” A laugh sounded as you were spun around and shoved into the chair. Buckles slapping themselves over your wrists and snaking around your legs. Tightening before you could even think to free yourself.

“All these abilities, the raw power.” The shifter’s hands ran down your face, gripping your chin tightly.

“Why he wastes his time with you...” You listened to him sigh, looking for anyway to escape. Your gun across the room, Castiel’s angel blade wasn’t visible, and you knew the shifter had no other weapons on him. All you could do was buy time for the boys to find you.

“What have you done with him?!” You demanded, forcing yourself to glare at the shifter wearing Castiel’s meat suit.

“Who? Your precious angel? He’s safe, I need him alive... for now.” The grin that spread across Castiel’s face was worse than when he turned himself into a God. When he was numb with the weight of leviathans.

*Cas. If you can hear me. Help.* You prayed, hoping the real Castiel would be able to hear you. Instead you watched as the shifter titled his head sideways, looking down at you.

“I am Castiel, and I won’t be helping you.” His hand raised. You reacted instinctively, eyes squeezing shut. Head tucking down into your shoulder, waiting for his hand to impact with your face.

You looked up when it never came, eyes following the arm that held the Shifters arm back. You smiled when you saw Castiel, your Castiel. His eyes blazing neon, jaw clenched tightly shut.

“You alright Y/N?” He asked, his free hand dropping to your shoulder. At his touch your bonds loosened enough for you to pull your wrists free.

“He hasn’t touched me.” You answered honestly, leaning down to release your ankles. Standing beside your Castiel.

“Good.” Castiel tilted his head slightly, scrutinising the shifter.

“Do I really look like that?”

“Is that really important? And why isn’t he moving.”

“So long as an angel has contact with one who is stealing their power, they freeze that person's time. It’s a defense against shifters. We had a lot of trouble with them before father locked Eve in Eden.” Castiel explained, looking to you, his eyes still glowing brightly.

“Go get the Winchesters brothers. I will remain here.” The door opened with a nudge of his head, and you nodded.

“Thank you Cas.” You ducked under his arm to kiss his cheek. Pausing to scoop up your weapon and torch before ducking out of the room. The door slammed shut behind you, the bang having you spin around and point your gun before you could even think about what that could mean. Your heartbeat stopped abruptly The door was gone. Your heart started racing, reminding itself it had to beat as you stared at the blank wall.

“CAS!”
